Caroline Hennig is the winner of the Molecular Life Science Junior GBM prize

This year, the Junior Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology e.V. Lübeck (“Junior-Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie”, Junior-GBM) awarded for the first time the Molecular Life Science prize for the best Master’s thesis in the fields of Molecular Life Science and Infection Biology. As part of a mini-symposium, the candidates whose master’s theses had been rated 1.3 or better, showed their work in a 20-minute presentation. Based on the master thesis and the oral presentation, Profs. Hilgenfeld, Redecke, Tautz and Oster selected the work of Caroline Hennig to win the first prize. The price was awarded by the junior GBM Lübeck. Further, Caroline Hennig was awarded the audience prize for the best presentation. She recently completed her master’s thesis at the Institute for Inflammation Research (ISEF) in the group of Dr. Christian Karsten and is currently working as a PhD student of the IRTG 1911 in the same group.
