Dr. Daniel Seiler
I am a PhD student in the CRU303 „Pemphigoid Diseases – Molecular Pathways and their Therapeutic Potential“. I am investigating the role of the second C5a receptor (C5aR2) in the pathogenesis of autoimmune bullous dermatoses (AIBDs) and its potential as therapeutic target in the treatment of AIBDs. Before joining the lab of Christian Karsten I led the quality control team at Metabion GmbH, a leading supplier of custom nucleic acids, and graduated from the Technical University Munich in 2017 with a M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology specialized in protein engineering.
